
Red Raiders Drop Western Texas College in Fall Scrimmage

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech pitching staff combined to allow only three hits in a 5-0 shutout of Western Texas College Thursday afternoon, moving the Red Raiders to 5-0 during the fall season.
Cara Custer tossed two perfect innings before giving way to Brittany Talley and Kelsey Dennis who continued Tech's shutout with two scoreless innings of their own. Chandler Moore threw the final inning of relief.
Taylor Powell, Melissa Ryba, and Emily Cooper were among the Red Raiders to have an RBI in the game as Tech added a run in the third before plating two in both the fourth and sixth innings.
The Red Raiders wrap their fall schedule next Thursday in a doubleheader against Midland College. First pitch is now scheduled for 3 p.m. at Rocky Johnson Field.
