Red Raiders Host Horned Frogs on Wednesday

LUBBOCK, TX - The Texas Tech Red Raiders return to the United Spirit Arena on Wednesday evening as they host the TCU Horned Frogs in a 7:00 p.m. game.
Texas Tech has a 72-45 margin in the series that began on January 23, 1932. Last season, the Red Raiders won at TCU, 80-70.
TCU opened their season with wins at home against Jackson State and SMU before losing to Rider in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic in Springfield, Massachusetts. The Frogs won their next game against Bradley and then lost to Massachusetts before returning home. The Frogs won home against Houston, USC, and Prairie View A&M before losing their last game at home to Northern Iowa, 64-60.
After nine games, TCU has averaged 72.3 points per game and has held their opponents to 66.0 points per contest. They have two players averaging double figures. Ronnie Moss tops the squad with 14.9 points per game. Garlon Green adds 11.1 points per outing. J.R. Cadot is their leading rebounder with 6.1 rebounds per game.
On Saturday, the Red Raiders (5-4) lost at No. 22 Washington in the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series, 108-79. Brad Reese led Texas Tech with 19 points. John Roberson and David Tairu each posted 14 points for the Red Raiders.
Texas Tech, after nine games, is averaging 79.4 points per contest and allowing opponents to post 78.8 points per outing. The Raiders have five players averaging double figures for the season. John Roberson leads the squad with 13.6 points per game. Brad Reese follows with 12.4 points per game. Mike Singletary is next on the squad with 12.0 points per outing. Robert Lewandowski is the top rebounder on the squad with 6.3 rebounds per game, and he adds 11.8 points per game. David Tairu also drops in 11.8 points per game.
Red Raider Basketball with Pat Knight begins tonight (Dec. 6) from 7-8 p.m. at Wing Stop located at 6807 Slide Road. The show, with host Mark Finkner, will air on Double T 104.3 (KTTU).
Mark Finkner will call the courtside action against the TCU Horned Frogs along with analyst and former Red Raider, Andy Ellis, on the Texas Tech Sports Network flagship radio station Double T 104.3.
When the Red Raiders host the Horned Frogs on Wednesday, Texas Tech Athletics is offering 300 All You Can Eat (AYCE) seats to the men's basketball game. For only $17, fans get a ticket to the game plus all the soda, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, and pretzels they can eat.
Only 300 seats are allotted for this special promotion in sections 109 and 110. Tickets must be ordered in advance since the offer will not be available at the ticket window on game day. A separate voucher will be printed with the ticket redeemable for an All You Can Eat wristband at the Black Angus concession stand in the northeast corner of the arena, directly behind AYCE sections 109 and 110. Food and drink will be available pre-game through halftime.
