LUBBOCK, Texas - The Red Raiders are back on the road as they take on the TCU Horned Frogs on Tuesday at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum in Fort Worth beginning at 6:30 PM.
The game will air on The Mtn. Network, which is available only on Direct TV. If you are a Direct TV subscriber, the game is scheduled to air on channel 616.
On the radio, Mark Finkner will call the courtside action along with analyst Corky Oglesby on the Texas Tech Sports Network flagship station Double T 104.3. The game will also be featured on Sirius channel 122.
Texas Tech and TCU are meeting 117th time since the series began on January 23, 1932. The Red Raiders have a 71-45 margin in the series. Last season, the Horned Frogs stopped the Red Raiders in Lubbock, 85-80.
TCU is 5-3 for the 2009-2010 season. They opened with wins over Mid-American Christian and Cal State Northridge before losing road games at Arizona State and at Nebraska. The Horned Frogs stopped Colgate and then outdistanced Texas State in three overtimes before dropping their next game to Louisiana Tech. The Frogs won their last game, a 60-53 win at SMU on December 2.
Their top three scorers have started each game. Ronnie Moss leads the squad with 18.5 points per game. Edvinas Ruzgas follows with 15.1 points per game while Zvonko Buljan adds 13.3 points per outing.
Texas Tech (8-0) is off to their best start since the 1929-1930 squad, coached by Victor Payne, opened with 12 wins.
On Thursday, the Red Raiders topped the No. 10/12 Washington Huskies in overtime, 99-92. The Big 12 / Pac-10 Hardwood Series contest was tied 16 times while the lead was exchanged 17 times. After Mike Singletary's successful three-point attempt was waved off, Texas Tech went on to outscore Washington 19-12 in overtime.
Washington's Quincy Pondexter led all scorers with 31 points while Texas Tech had five players in double figures. John Roberson paced the group with 25 points. Brad Reese came off the bench to score 17 points. Mike Singletary dropped in 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Nick Okorie and Darko Cohadarevic each added 10 points.
The Pat Knight Television and Radio Shows are set to begin. The first TV show will air in Lubbock on December 6 on KAMC-TV at 10:35 PM. In Lubbock, the show can be seen each Sunday evening with the last show scheduled to air on March 14. The show will also be broadcast on FSN Southwest, FOX College Sports, Time Warner Cable, as well as in Abilene, Amarillo, Beaumont (After New Year's Day), Tyler, and Waco.

Red Raider Basketball with Pat Knight airs live most Monday evenings from 7-8 p.m. from Wing Stop located at 6807 Slide Road in Lubbock. Fans are encouraged to watch the show live. The radio show will air on the following dates throughout the basketball season; December (14 and 21), January (4, 11, 18, and 25), February (1 and 22), and March (1 and 8)
After the break for final exams, the Raiders will be back in action at Wichita State on December 19 and at home against Stanford on December 22.
