TECH PLACES SIX RUNNERS IN TOP 25 AT SOUTH PLAINS

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech cross country squads placed six runners in the top 25 of the South Plains College Cross Country Festival led by Valentino Julien's 10th place finish.
Julien led the men's squad to a fourth place finish after running a 25:20.62. The next Red Raider to cross the line was Chase Wade in 15th place running a 25:40.97. Jeremy Kight finished in 25:51.50 to place 17th.
Nathan Milles was right behind Kight in 19th running a 25:54.24. The fifth Red Raider was Samuel Bushong as he ran a time of 26:25.89 to finish 24th. Andrew Goldstein was 34th running a time of 28:23.19.
The Red Raiders scored 85 points placing fourth overall. South Plains won the men's race scoring 35 points.
Michelle Edman was the top Lady Raider at the meet. She was 21st running a 19:50.65 over the 5K course. Amanda McKeehan was the other women running the race in a time of 19:59.54 placing 23rd.
Tech's next race will be Sat., Oct. 17 in Fayetteville, Ark., at the Chile Pepper Festival.
