
Men's Tennis Gets Started With Lubbock Challenger

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team gets its fall season under way this weekend as several members of the team will be participating in the $50,000 Lubbock Challenger at Texas Tech's McLeod Tennis Center.
Qualifying rounds will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 27-28. The Red Raiders will have at least four players in the qualifying tournament - seniors Michael Breler and Christian Rojmar, sophomore David Gonzalez and freshmen Raony Carvalho and Gonzalo Escobar.
The main draw of the tournament will begin on Mon., Sept. 22. Senior Sinisa Markovic will represent the Red Raiders as Tech's main draw wild card in singles, while the doubles tandem of Carvahlo and Rojmar will compete in the doubles portion of the tournament.
Match times will be announced Friday night (Sept. 26).
