Red Raiders meet Gents on Tuesday at 7 PM

Lubbock , TX-- The Red Raiders (8-3) host the Gents of Centenary College (2-10) on Tuesday, December 22 at 7 PM in the United Spirit Arena.
In Lubbock, the game will be televised on KAMC-TV (ABC) with The Pat Knight Pre-Game Show beginning at 6:30 PM. Fox Sports Southwest (FSN) will also broadcast the game to most of their coverage areas in Texas and Louisiana.
ESPN is also scheduled to air the game as a part of their Full-Court package. The game will be featured online via ESPN360.com -- ESPN's signature broadband sports TV network.
Mark Finkner will call Tuesday's courtside action against the Gents along with analyst Corky Oglesby on the Texas Tech Sports Network local station KKAM-AM 1340.
On Saturday, the Red Raiders held a four point lead over New Mexico at the half, 35-31, and then outscored the Lobos by four points in the second half (51-47) for their sixth win at home and their eighth win of the 2008-2009 season.
Alan Voskuil led both teams in scoring with 28 points as four of his Texas Tech teammates also reached double figures: John Roberson - 13, Mike Singletary - 12, Robert Lewandowski - 12, and Corbin Ray 10.
Mike Singletary also registered the first double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Texas Tech and Centenary are meeting for the ninth time since the series began on December 18, 1931. Overall, the Red Raiders lead the series 7-1. In Lubbock, the Raiders have 3-0 margin and they have a 4-1 advantage at Centenary. Last season, Tech lost on the road, 70-66.
Centenary is 2-10 on the season. They have dropped nine road games and are 2-1 on neutral courts. Their wins have been against Troy University (81-77) and Alcorn State (64-51). Due to work being done on their home facility, the Gents will have their first home game of the 2008-2009 season on January 8.
Gent Nick Stallings leads his team in scoring with 17.3 points per game. Chase Adams follows with 13.3 points per game. Stallings scored 17 points, Adams added nine points, and Anthony Gatlin dropped in 13 points in Centenary's 70-66 win over the Raiders last season.
Texas Tech travels to Stanford, California for their next non-conference game against the Stanford Cardinal on December 28, the Big12 / Pac-10 Hardwood Series. The tip will be at 9 PM (Central) with television coverage provided by the Fox Sports Network.
The Red Raiders are back in the United Spirit Arena against Stephen F. Austin on New Year's Day. The game will begin at 3:00 PM (Central) and will air on the Texas Tech Television Network.
