Red Raiders Host Shockers on Wednesday at 7 PM

Lubbock, TX-- The Red Raiders (6-1) host the Wichita State Shockers (3-3) at the United Spirit Arena on Wednesday, December 3. Tip-off is at 7 PM.
This is the first meeting between the two teams since the 1966-1967 season. The Shockers lead the series 2-0.
Wednesday's game is televised on the Texas Tech Television Network (TTTN). Dave Shore will call the play-by-play and John Harris will provide the game analysis. In Lubbock, the game will air on KAMC-TV (ABC). The satellite coordinates for the game are AMC 16 - Transponder K23.
The Red Raiders split their two-game series at the Legends Classic in Newark, New Jersey over the Thanksgiving holidays. Tech lost to #4 Pittsburgh (67-80) in their first game and then downed Mississippi State (77-73) the following day to win the consolation game.
Trevor Cook, the 6-9 junior from Coppell, Texas was selected to the Legends Classic All-Tournament team. In the two-game series, Trevor averaged 17.0 ppg, shot 50% from the field
(10-of-20), made five 3-pointers, sank 9-of-11 free throws, grabbed nine rebounds, and blocked three shots. Trevor shared game scoring honors with Sam Young of Pittsburgh in Friday's game as each player scored 24 points.

After final exams, the Red Raiders are on the road for two games before hosting New Mexico at the United Spirit Arena on December 20. Tech visits Lamar on December 13 and UTEP on December 17.
Mark Finkner will call Wednesday's courtside action against the Shockers along with analyst Corky Oglesby on the Texas Tech Sports Network local station KKAM-AM 1340.
