Red Raiders host Lobos on Saturday at Noon

Lubbock, TX -- The Red Raiders (7-3) host the Lobos of New Mexico (7-4) on Saturday, December 20 at Noon in the United Spirit Arena.
In Lubbock, the game will be televised on KAMC-TV (ABC) with The Pat Knight Pre-Game Show beginning at 11:30 AM. Fox Sports Southwest (FSN) will broadcast the game throughout the state of Texas, except Lubbock.
ESPN is scheduled to air the game as a part of their Full-Court package. The game will also be featured online via ESPN360.com -- ESPN's signature broadband sports TV network.
Mark Finkner will call Saturday's courtside action against the Lobos along with analyst Corky Oglesby on the Texas Tech Sports Network local station KKAM-AM 1340.
Texas Tech and New Mexico are meeting for the 83rd time since February 24, 1931. Overall, the Red Raiders lead the series 42-40. In Lubbock, the Raiders have 22-14 advantage, and they have a 2-0 edge on neutral courts. The Lobos lead the series in Albuquerque, 26-18. Last season, Tech lost on the road, 80-63.
Texas Tech now has four players averaging double figures for the season. John Roberson leads the squad with 17.1 points per game. Alan Voskuil follows with 14.1 points per game. Nick Okorie is next with 11.8 points per game. Mike Singletary is averaging 10.8 points each game.
Sophomore John Roberson's 33-point scoring output at UTEP surpassed his previous best, a 28-point performance as a freshman against Northwestern State. John is the thirty-sixth Red Raider to score at least 30 points in a game.
New Mexico has seven wins and four losses for the season. They are 6-1 at home, 1-1 on the road, and 0-2 on neutral courts. Their home wins were against SE Missouri State, Grambling State, CSU-Northridge, Southern Miss, Old Miss, and their most recent home game, a 66-63 win over Oral Roberts on December 17. The Lobos lost at Creighton (82-75) and won at San Diego, 57-54. New Mexico lost both neutral site games to VCU and Drake in the Cancun Challenge.
Lobo Tony Danridge leads his team in scoring with 12.9 points per game. Daniel Faris follows with 10.8 points per game. Chad Toppert and Roman Martinez are each averaging 10.4 points per game.
Tuesday, the Red Raiders host the Gents of Centenary. The tip will be at 7 PM with television coverage provided by the Texas Tech Television Network.
