
Men's Tennis To Play in ITA Regional Championships

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team's fall season is nearing an end as the Red Raiders head to College Station, Texas, to play in the ITA Regional Championships Oct. 25-28.
The Red Raiders will be sending 10 players to the championships - seniors Michael Breler, Milos Kustudija, Sinisa Markovic, Christian Rojmar and James Wilson; sophomores David Gonzalez, Joe Hattrup and Ethan Horn; and freshmen Raony Carvalho and Gonzalo Escobar.
The ITA Regional Championships consists of all schools in the state of Texas which make up the South Central Region. The two singles finalists and the doubles winner will advance to the ITA National Indoor Tennis Championships Nov. 6-9, in Charlottesville, Va., hosted by the University of Virginia.
All players will be playing in the singles portion of the tournament while all players except Carvalho and Rojmar will be playing doubles. Carvalho and Rojmar have already qualified for the ITA National Indoor Tennis Championships after advancing to the semifinals of doubles at the ITA All-American Championships.
The ITA National Indoor Tennis Championships in November consist of a 32-singles and 16-doubles draw.
