
Upcoming Gameday Promotions Announced for Lady Raider Basketball

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Athletics Department has announced gameday promotions for the upcoming women's basketball games starting with SMU on Sat., Dec. 29.
Fans who purchase one ticket will receive one free ticket by presenting a special holiday coupon, which can be found at www.goladyraiders.com. The Lady Raiders and the Mustangs will play at 7 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 29, at the United Spirit Arena.
Tech returns home to open Big 12 Conference play on Wed., Jan. 9, against Baylor at 7 p.m. The special gameday ticket promotion is Shoes for Orphan Souls, which is a ministry of Buckner Children and Family Services. The goal is for fans to donate new shoes, socks and shoelaces. All types of shoes are accepted but winter boots, black school shoes and leather athletic shoes for children ages seven-18 are most urgently needed. All fans who donate a pair of shoes, socks or shoelaces at the entrance doors will receive on general admission ticket.
The official Lady Raider Gameday t-shirts for the 2007-08 season are on sale now. The red t-shirt features this year's theme - "Find A Way" - on the front and the 2007-08 home schedule on the back. Tech's sportsmanship campaign - Raider Power - is also represented on the shirt. The shirt is available in long and short sleeves. Shirts are available for $10 and can be purchased at the Double T Zones located on the north end of Jones AT&T Stadium and in the United Spirit Arena. Shirts will also be sold on the concourse level at every Lady Raider home game.
Fans are encouraged to take part every game in the Lady Raider Spirit Sign contest. All fans who have decorated signs in support of the team or their favorite players will have an opportunity to win a Lady Raider prize pack, which includes autographed material and a $25 gift certificated to Shoe Carnival.
