LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Lady Raiders improved to 6-0 as they continued their dominance in the Basketball Travelers Classic, beating Kennesaw State, 78-56 at United Spirit Arena.
Tech was able to force 14 Kennesaw State turnovers during the first half, as they were able to convert the turnovers into 20 points. The Lady Raiders led at half 40-35. Kennesaw State forced 12 Tech turnovers in the first half to stay within striking distance, and scored 18 points in the paint compared to Tech's 16.
The Lady Raiders defense highlighted the second half as they held Kennesaw State to 33 percent and forced 23 turnovers for the game. Tech dominated the paint in the second half as they scored 26 points, led by junior Dominic Seals' 12 second half points.
For the second night in a row Tech had four players score in double digits. Led by Seals and senior Erin Myrick who had with 18 and 15, respectively. Moore finished with 13 and junior Keisha Walker chipped in 10 points.
Greteya Kelley led Kennesaw State with 15 points and Britteny Henderson grabbed 12 boards.
Tech will play the finale of the Basketball Travelers Classic tomorrow as they take on Alcorn State at 3 p.m.
