
NFL Network Freeview Unveiled for Bowl Season

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech Fans, you can watch your Red Raiders take on the University of Minnesota in the 2006 Insight Bowl this Friday at 7 p.m. CT on NFL Network thanks to a special "Freeview."
In a move designed to bring Texas Tech Football to as many Red Raider fans as possible, the NFL Network has agreed to terms with six of the nation's largest cable operators and is offering a "freeview" of the nation's only all-football network during the bowl season. Programming is 24 hours a day and includes Texas Tech's Insight Bowl matchup against Minnesota on Dec. 29. Coverage ends at 7 p.m. Dec. 30.
The NFL Network, which began offering its "freeview" Dec. 24 to select cable companies, added areas in the state of Texas to its coverage map for the weeklong special. The NFL Network can only be accessed through digital cable. Time Warner cable subscribers in Dallas (Ch. 960), Austin (Ch. 436), San Antonio (Ch. 946) and Waco (Ch. 124) are included in the special as are Suddenlink customers in Lubbock, Abilene, Amarillo and Midland.
*Time Warner - digital cable customers in Dallas will receive the Freeview on Channel 960. *Time Warner - digital cable customers in San Antonio will receive the Freeview on Channel 946. *Time Warner - digital cable customers in Austin will receive the Freeview on Channel 436. *Time Warner - digital cable customers in Waco will receive the Freeview on Channel 124. *Suddenlink customers in the Lubbock and Amarillo markets will receive the Freeview, please call your local office for the channel number in your area.Texas Tech and Minnesota kickoff the 2006 Insight Bowl at 7:05 p.m. CT at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz.
