
Red Raiders Host Bucknell on Saturday

The Texas Tech Red Raiders (9-3) play their next four games at home and have created a special ticket promotion for the holiday season beginning with the Red Raiders hosting Bucknell on Saturday at 3:30 PM.
As Coach Bob Knight nears Dean Smith's 879-career coaching victories record, the TTU Athletic Department has created "Project 880" with several ticket options for Red Raider fans to watch the Raiders against Bucknell, UNLV, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.
For $8.80, the purchaser receives one General Admission ticket to EACH of the next four home games in the upper level.
For $8.80 in the next option, the purchaser receives one General Admission ticket to One of the next four home games in the lower level in Sections 118-220, Rows 14-30.
As a bonus, purchase one ticket to all four home games in the lower level and receive one complimentary upper level General Admission ticket to all four of the home games.
Fans can purchase one reserved ticket to each of the next four home games in Sections 111 and 113, Rows 1-13 for $60.00 or Section 116, Rows 14-30 for $50.

After Christmas, the Raiders play UNLV on December 28 at 8 PM. New Mexico comes to the United Spirit Arena on New Year's Day for an 11 AM tip-off. The first conference game of the 2006-2007 season for the Raiders will be on January 6 against Oklahoma at 12:30 PM.
With the 71-56 Red Raider win last Saturday over Arkansas, Coach Bob Knight now has 878 career wins - the most of any active men's coach. Retired UNC Tarheel coach Dean Smith holds the top spot with 879 career wins.
After Arkansas scored the first basket of the game, Texas Tech scored the next 18 points and held a 35-22 halftime lead. The Red Raiders outscored the Razorbacks 36-34 in the second half for their ninth win of the season and their fourth win away from home.
Charlie Burgess led Tech in scoring with 19 points - 13 points in the second half. Martin Zeno and Jarrius Jackson each scored 17 points for the game. Jay scored 16 points in the first half and saw limited action in the second half. Martin scored 11 or his 17 points in the second half.
Saturday's game against Bucknell will be the first meeting between the two teams and is featured on ESPN 2. Ron Franklin will deliver the play-by-play with Fran Fraschilla providing the analysis.
The Bucknell Bison (4-5) have won their last two games and were preparing to play at Xavier on December 20 before facing Texas Tech in Lubbock on December 23.
For each game this season, Steve Dale will call the courtside action along with Ted Chidester as analyst on the Texas Tech Sports Network (KKAM 1340 AM), the flagship station for the Red Raiders.
