Lady Raiders Pick Up Win at Houston

HOUSTON - Brooke Baughman poured in a career-high 17 points in leading Texas Tech to a 69-51 victory over Houston on Tuesday night. The Lady Raiders improved to 2-0 on the year, while the Cougars open the season 0-1.
Of her 17 points, Baughman hit five three-pointers, which also marked a career high for the senior. She was 6-for-8 from the field, including 5-for-6 from three-point range.
Tech got its biggest lead of the game of 18 points with 41 seconds remaining in the game, which were the last points of the contest.
The Lady Raiders had an eight-point lead at the half, 34-26.
Senior Alesha Robertson recorded her first double-double of the year with 13 points and 13 rebounds. The 13 rebounds tied her career high which was established last season at Oklahoma State.
Freshman Jordan Murphree finished the night with 15 points and career highs of eight assists, four steals and two blocks. Junior Erin Myrick chipped in 10 points.
Houston was led by Ryan Bradley with 18 points.
Tech returns home on Sun., Nov. 19, to take on Texas State at 2 p.m. at the United Spirit Arena.
