Younan-Wise Named Big 12 Golfer of the Month

IRVING, Texas - Sophomore Red Raider Jake Younan-Wise was named the men's Big 12 Golfer of the Month as announced by the conference office on Wednesday. The Kingscliff, Australia, native is receiving the award for the first time in his career.
Younan-Wise was honored for his efforts during the month of September in which he had two top-20 placings. He broke into the fall season with a career-best finish when he tied for third at the International Collegiate. He also set career-low 18-, 36- and 54-hole scores with rounds of 75-68-67--210.
At the Carpet Capital Collegiate, which was loaded with ranked squads, Younan-Wise tied for 11th. There he carded scores of 67-75-70--212 to lead the Red Raiders for the second-straight tournament.
