
Draw Set for Day One of USTA Challenger

Lubbock, Texas- The draw has been set for the opening round of the USTA $50,000 Challenger Tournament at the McLeod Tennis Center, in Lubbock, Texas, on Monday, Sept. 19.
Matches will begin at 12 p.m. on court one and at 1 p.m. on court five. Tickets are $5 for day sessions and $10 for night sessions. Admission is free for all Texas Tech staff and students with an I.D. Tickets can be purchased at the McLeod Tennis Center.
Highlighted matches include Scoville Jenkins vs. (8) Chris Guccione on court one, not before 4 p.m. Jenkins recently competed at the U.S. Open and fell to Rafael Nadal, the no. 2 player in the world. The tournament's top seed Bobby Reynolds, the 130th-ranked player in the world, will face Harel Levy, on court one, not before 6:30 p.m. In doubles action, Lesley Joseph and Mashiska Washington will take on Jan-Michael Gambill and Scott Oudsema, on court one, immediately following the not before 6:30 p.m. match.
For Red Raider fans, Tech junior Bojan Szumanski will face Hugo Armando, on court five, at 3 p.m.
