
Men's Tennis Set to Take on Army

LUBBOCK, Texas - The No. 15 Texas Tech men's tennis team will play Army in the first round of the NCAA Championship on Sat., May, 14, at noon at the McLeod Tennis Center in Lubbock. This is the Red Raiders first appearance in the NCAA Championship since 1999.
Tech enters the NCAA Championship with a 23-3 record, while Army owns 21-4 mark.
No. 45 TCU faces No. 17 Wake Forest in the second match on Saturday. The winners from Saturday will meet in the second round on Sun., May 15, at 1 p.m. The winner of the second round will advance to the finals of the NCAA Championship in College Station, Texas, May 21-24.
"We're so excited and looking forward to playing in the NCAA Tournament and especially in front of our fans," said head coach Tim Siegel, who was named the Big 12 Coach of the Year and the Co-Wilson/ITA Coach of the Year for the South Central Region. "One thing is for sure, our team will be ready to play. I'm looking forward to a great regional."
The gates will open at 10:30 a.m. at the McLeod Tennis Center. Tickets for the event are $5 for adult general admission and $3 for college students down to three-years-old. College students much present a valid ID card. Children two and under are admitted free.
