Raiders Travel to San Francisco for Saturday's Game

Lubbock, Texas - Texas Tech travels to San Francisco for Saturday's match-up against the Dons of the University of San Francisco. The game will begin at 9:00 PM and will be televised in the Lubbock area as well as in Houston and the Metroplex.
In Lubbock, the game will be broadcast over the air on UPN - Channel 22 and on Cox Cable - Channel 6. The satellite coordinates for the game are: Galaxy 10R - Transponder K24.
Barry Tompkins will provide the play-by-play and Dan Belloumini will add the analysis. Mark Finkner will call the courtside action along with Andy Hipsher as analyst on the Texas Tech Sports Network (KKAM 1340 AM) for the Red Raiders.
The Raiders topped the TCU Horned Frogs 81-54 on November 30 at the United Spirit Arena for their fifth win of the season.
Twelve Red Raiders saw action against the Frogs. Jarrius Jackson led all scorers with 23 points. Jay was 9-of-19 from the field (including 5-of-6 from beyond the three-point line). He also grabbed 6 rebounds and had 5 assists and 4 steals. Terry Martin and Jon Plefka each added 14 points.
The Raiders are scoring 74.4 points per game. Jarrius Jackson is averaging 18.6 points per game and Martin Zeno adds 16.5 points per game.
San Francisco is 1-4 for the season. The Dons dropped their season opener to Santa Barbara 82-59 before defeating Monmouth 70-66. USF is on a three game skid losing at Stanford (72-57) and at home to Sacramento State (85-78) and Pacific (75-71) in overtime. The Dons average 66.8 points per game and have four players scoring in double figures (Armondo Surratt - 15.8 ppg, Dommanic Ingerson - 13.8 ppg, Alan Wiggins - 11.2 ppg, and Jerome Gumbs - 10.2 ppg).
Coach Bob Knight (Ohio State, 1962) enters his fifth season at the helm of the Raider program and has notched four consecutive 20+ wins in Lubbock. In 39 seasons of coaching, he has taken his teams to post-season play 36 times.
Coach Knight numbers third among all coaches on the all-time career wins list with 859 victories. He is the youngest of the four coaches (Dean Smith-879, Adolph Rupp-876, Bob Knight-854, and Jim Phelan-830) and the only active coach to reach that remarkable plateau of 800 career victories.
The Red Raiders return to the United Spirit Arena on Wednesday, December 7 in a 7 PM contest against Louisiana Tech.
