Red Raiders Host Furman on Wednesday at 7 PM

Lubbock, Texas - The Red Raiders return to action at the United Spirit Arena on Wednesday at 7 PM as they host the Paladins of Furman University.
The game will be televised on the Texas Tech Television Network with game coverage provided outside the Lubbock area. Dave Shore will call the play-by-play. Andy Hipsher will provide the game analysis.
John Harris will call the courtside action along with Mike Roberts as analyst on the Texas Tech Sports Network (KKAM 1340 AM), the flagship station for the Red Raiders.
The Raiders were 2-2 in the 2K College Hoops Classic benefiting Coaches versus Cancer with wins over San Jose State and Georgia Southern and losses to Syracuse and Wake Forest.
Texas Tech has two players in double figures with Jarrius Jackson averaging 17.8 points per game and Martin Zeno posting 17.3 points per game. After four games, the Raiders are averaging 70.2 points per game.
Furman is 1-1 for the season. The Paladins downed Macalester 100-58 in their season opener on November 18 and then lost at Vanderbilt two days later, 60-81. Furman currently has four players averaging double figures (Webb 15.5, Bostain 11.5, Jones 11.5, and Diagne 10.5) and each is playing at least 20 minutes per game. As a team, they are averaging 80 points per outing.
Coach Bob Knight (Ohio State, 1962) enters his fifth season at the helm of the Raider program and has notched four consecutive 20+ wins in Lubbock. In 39 seasons of coaching, he has taken his teams to post-season play 36 times. Coach Knight numbers third among all coaches on the all-time career wins list with 856 victories. He is the youngest of the four coaches (Dean Smith-879, Adolph Rupp-876, Bob Knight-854, and Jim Phelan-830) and the only active coach to reach that remarkable plateau of 800 career victories.
On Saturday, November 26, Texas Tech will face the Morehead State Eagles at 1 PM in the United Spirit Arena. The Texas Tech Television Network will provide game coverage outside the Lubbock area.
