Szumanski Concludes at ITA All-American Championships

Lubbock, Texas - Texas Tech's Bojan Szumanski, a junior on the men's tennis team, concluded his run at the ITA All-American Championships, in Tulsa, Okla., this morning.
Szumanksi fell to Alex Slovic of Washington, 6-1, 6-1, in the consolation round of 16, this morning.
The Opole, Poland native also recently competed in the UTSA $50,000 Challenger Tournament, held in Lubbock, Texas. Szumanski fell to Hugo Armando, a member of the winning doubles squad, 6-2, 6-3, in the opening round of play.
Szumanski ended the 2005 season with a rank of 47th. He was honored as an Academic All-American and was named to the District VI All-Academic team. Szumanski was 26-9 in singles play and was 17-11 in doubles action. His 26 victories are tied for second on Tech's single-season list for victories.
