Men's Tennis Ends Day One in Midland

Lubbock, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team completed day one of competition at the Midland Racquet Club, in Midland, Texas, today.
In the opening round of play, Dimitrio Martinez topped John Nallon of Texas A&M, 3-6, 6-2, (10-7) and Adrian Prpic cruised over Marcus Lunt of Texas A&M, 6-1, 6-2. Michael Breler fell to Ivor Lovrak of Pepperdine, 6-0, 6-3.
In the second round, Prpic fell to Michal Kokta of Baylor, 6-3, 6-1, and Martinez fell to Roger Matalonga of Arizona, 6-3, 7-6. The Red Raiders have concluded singles play.
In doubles action, Breler and Martinez edged Travis Helgeson and Roger Gubser of Texas, 9-8.
Play will continue on Sat., Oct. 16.
