
Red Raider Basketball Set to Host Northern Arizona

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Red Raiders have their fourth home game of the season as they host the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks from Flagstaff, Arizona, on Tuesday evening at the United Spirit Arena. The tip-off will be at 7:05 p.m.
Texas Tech is 4-1 for the non-conference season. Most recently, the Raiders downed the UTEP Miners 72-57 at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso on Saturday. The Raider defense forced 27 Miner turnovers. Ronald Ross registered a career best 7 steals and Devonne Giles also marked a career high with 6 blocks. Curtis Marshall led the Raider offense with 18 points. Ronald Ross and Martin Zeno each chipped in 17 points as Jarrius Jackson added 11 points.
The Texas Tech/Northern Arizona game will air on KFWD-TV (channel 52) in the Metroplex. The satellite coordinates for the game are: Galaxy 11 Transponder K 12. The game is also available for purchase on ESPN Full-Court.
This game marks the 37th meeting of the two teams since the series began on January 12, 1934. Overall, Texas Tech leads the series 28-8. The Raiders hold a 16-2 edge in games played in Lubbock and a 12-6 advantage when playing in Flagstaff.
This will be the first meeting of the two teams in 51 years. When Texas Tech and Northern Arizona met for the first time in 1934, Polk Robison was a player on the Texas Tech squad. When the teams last met on February 25, 1953, Polk Robison was the Texas Tech coach.
