Red Raider Soccer Falls Short to Oklahoma, 2-1

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's soccer team was defeated by Oklahoma, 2-1, at R.P. Fuller Stadium this afternoon. The Red Raider offense notched one goal from sophomore Jenna Wetzel and tallied six shots on goal.
The Oklahoma offense dominated the first half as they posted two unanswered goals during the first 30 minutes of play. The Sooners tallied two goals from two different players during the first half as they out-shot Tech, 15-3.
The Red Raiders battled back in the second half as they out-shot the Sooners, 5-4, and scored a goal in the 83rd minute of play. Wetzel notched her first goal of the season on a free kick.
Junior Megan Knauss made her fourth start in goal for Tech. She made seven saves and allowed two goals while playing the entire 90 minutes. Her season save total is now at 21 and her record has fallen to 1-3.
