Men's Tennis Team to Compete in Baylor Intercollegiate

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team will compete in its second tournament of the season in Waco, Texas for the Baylor Intercollegiate tournament. Play is set to begin on Friday, Sept. 26 and will continue through the weekend and conclude on Sunday, Sept. 29.
The tournament will host Arkansas, Baylor, Boise State, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Lamar, Louisiana-Lafayette, New Mexico, SMU, TCU, Texas UT-San Antonio, Wichita State and Winthrop, as well as Texas Tech.
"We are sending four players to the Baylor Intercollegiate which is always a very strong tournament," stated head coach Tim Siegel. "Our guys are looking forward to the competition." Set to compete in the tournament are freshmen Bojan Szumanski, Dimitrio Martinez, Teddy DiBlasi and junior Michael Innerebner.
The tournament this weekend will consist of two draws - an A flight and a B flight with a championship bracket and a consolation bracket for first round losers. The championship matches will be on Monday. Martinez and Innerebner will compete together as a doubles team as well as DiBlasi and Szumanski.
