
Lady Raider Tennis Falls to Texas-Arlington 4-3

ARLINGTON, Texas - The Texas-Arlington Mavericks secured a 4-3 win in three sets in the No. 2 singles position to notch a 4-3 win over the Texas Tech Lady Raiders on Wednesday afternoon in Arlington. The Maverick defeated Texas Tech despite forfeiting matches at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles due to injuries.
Texas Tech won the doubles point thanks to an 8-3 win by the duo of Kendall Brooks/Tara Browning and a forfeit in by UTA in the No. 3 position. Tech's lead did not last long as the Mavericks won four of the six singles matches to secure the 4-3 win.
Texas Tech returns to action this weekend against Nebraska at the McLeod Tennis Center beginning at 10 a.m.
