Raiders Face Aztecs Saturday Afternoon

Lubbock, TX - The Texas Tech Red Raiders (7-2)face the Aztecs of San Diego State (5-2)on Saturday afternoon at the United Spirit Arena. Tip-off will be at 1:30 p.m. The afternoon's match up marks the eighth meeting between the two squads. Tech leads the series 5-2. The series began on December 1, 1970 as the Raiders won at home, 93-86. At home, Tech leads the series 4-0. SDSU holds a 2-1 edge in games played in San Diego.
The afternoon game is televised on the Texas Tech Television Network. Brian Jensen will call the play-by-play and Michael Lewis will provide the color analysis. The broadcast will air outside the Lubbock area. The satellite coordinates for Saturday's game are: Galaxy 11 / Transponder K12.

This will be the Raiders second of three home games within seven days. After Saturday's game, the Bearcats of Sam Houston State return to the United Spirit Arena on Wednesday, December 17 at 7:00 p.m.
The Raiders are averaging 11.8 grabs per game. Five players (Giles, Jackson, Emmett, Ross, and Mikey Marshall) have at least 10 steals each. Jay Jackson leads the squad with 22 thefts over nine games.
Texas Tech will host the Iowa Hawkeyes at the American Airlines Center on December 22 in the O'Reilly Christmas Classic with an 8:00 p.m. tip off. Everyone in attendance will receive a complimentary game program and a t-shirt. Four thousand Texas Tech media/fan guides will also be given out.
