
Red Raiders Fall To Iowa State 3-0

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Iowa State Cyclones notched 12 shots-on-goal and held Texas Tech to just three as the Red Raiders fell 3-0 on Friday night in a crucial Big 12 Conference game at R.P. Fuller Stadium.
The loss drops Texas Tech to 2-12-1 overall and 1-7-0 in the Big 12 meaning the Red Raiders must win their final two games of the season to have a chance at the upcoming Big 12 Tournament.
Iowa State scored 12 minutes into the game as Kristina Baumann scored an unassisted goal to give the Cyclones a 1-0 lead. Leading 1-0 at the half, Iowa State quickly added to its lead as Deb Benakis scored just four minutes into the half on assists from Baumann and Kate Kirwan.
The Cyclones added a final goal at the 70:28 mark as Amy Flores scored on an assist from Kirwan.
Texas Tech will honor its three seniors on Sunday morning as the Red Raiders play their final home game of the season against Missouri at 11 a.m.
