Men's Tennis Wraps Up Play at Baylor Intercollegiates

WACO, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team concluded play today at the Baylor Intercollegiates in Waco, Texas. The Red Raiders advanced two players, sophomore David Knaszak and senior Ryan Davies, to the semifinals of the B singles flight.
In the A singles consolation bracket, senior Devin Wakeford lost in the semifinals to Barry McLaren (Baylor), 6-3, 6-2.
In the B singles bracket semifinals, Knaszak lost to Jason Gould (Baylor), 6-4, 6-4; while Davies fell to Niels Buksik (Texas-Arlington), 6-4, 6-3.
In A doubles play, freshman Diederik de Groot and senior Devin Wakeford were defeated by Jimmy Haney and Peter Stoer (Texas), 8-1 in the semifinals.
Texas Tech will host the USTA-Futures Oct. 14-20 at the McLeod Tennis Center.
