
Men's Tennis Travels to Baylor Intercollegiates

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team will travel to Waco, Texas for the Baylor Intercollegiates Friday-Sunday, Sept. 27-29. The Red Raiders will be one of 19 teams competing in the tournament, which includes 10 schools from the state of Texas: Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, TCU, Texas-San Antonio, Texas-Pan American, Baylor, Lamar, Texas-Arlington, SMU, Texas and Texas Tech.
The Red Raiders return to the courts after a good showing at the New Mexico State Tournament last weekend, Sept. 20-22 in Las Cruces, N. M. Senior Alfonso Perez led the way for Tech as he posted a 5-0 singles mark. Senior Devin Wakeford also had a good outing, finishing with a 4-1 record.
Play, which includes 96 players, will include singles and doubles competition, a championship bracket and also a consolation bracket for first round losers. Action begins at 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27.
