Tech Softball Announces Fall Tournament Schedule

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech softball coach Bobby Reeves announced the 2002 fall softball tournament schedule today. The schedule will consist of two home tournaments that will include 12 different schools.
The first of the two tournaments is slated for the weekend of Sept. 28-29. Teams competing in the two-day tournament include Vernon College, Howard CC, Midland College, USAO, Panhandle State and Abilene Christian. Games will begin at 9:15 a.m. and will be played at both Rocky Johnson Field and the intramural fields.
First pitch of the second tournament will be on October 5 at 7:30 am. Teams scheduled to compete are Dodge City, Kansas City, Midland College, Western Texas, Eastern New Mexico and Odessa College. Games will run through the sixth and will be played at Rocky Johnson Field as well as the intramural fields.
The 2003 regular season is set to begin in San Marcos, Texas, on January 31 as the Red Raiders compete at the SWC Tournament. Times are still TBA.
