LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team could not over come the sixth ranked Baylor Bears in the Semifinals of the Big 12 Championships, falling 4-1 this afternoon in College Station, Texas.
The Red Raiders (14-11) coming off a quarterfinal win in yesterday's match-up with the Oklahoma State Cowboys could manage only one point against the Bears (24-1) who have not lost since March 8. Junior Alfonso Perez (Guadalajara, Mexico) posted Tech's lone win of the day in strait sets, defeating Baylor's Reiner Neurohr in the number five singles match, 6-4, 6-4.
Baylor will now take on the winner between Texas and Texas A&M in tomorrow's Big 12 Championship match.
