LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team takes the road this weekend as it travels to Oklahoma to battle the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Oklahoma Sooners.
The Red Raiders will take on Oklahoma State (10-6, 2-3 Big 12) on April 20, at 1 p.m. in Stillwater. The team will then travel to Norman to take on the Sooners (12-9, 0-5 Big 12) at noon on Sunday, April 21.
Tech is led by seniors Royce Ramey (Richardson, Texas) and Richard Crabtree (Hebden Bridge, England). Ramey has compiled an 8-6 record at the number one singles slot. Crabtree with sophomore Ben Gudzelak (Halifax, England) have registered a 12-8 record at the first doubles position. Both players went out with wins last weekend as they played in there final home matches.
The Red Raiders are 12-9 and 2-3 in the Big 12 Conference. This weekend's matches are important for positioning as the Red Raiders prepare for the Big 12 Championships that will be held April 25-28 in College Station, Texas.
