LUBBOCK, Tex. - The Texas Tech Men's tennis team opened its conference schedule with a win on Sunday as Red Raiders defeated the Colorado Buffaloes 6-1 at the McLeod Tennis Center. Tech remains unbeaten in Lubbock this season.
The Buffaloes entered Sunday's match ranked 69th in the country. This was Tech's second win in a row over a higher ranked team, after defeating #68 UTA on Saturday. The Red Raiders are ranked 75th.
The Red Raiders (9-5, 1-0 Big 12) next hit the road as they take on the Baylor Bears in Waco on March 23. The team will return home on March 30, when they take on ACU at 10 a.m. and UTSA at 6 p.m. at the McLeod Tennis Center. Fans attending all home matches this season will receive free pizza and the first fifty fans in attendance will receive a free t-shirt.
