
Red Raiders Finish 4th in HEB Invitational

CORPUS CHRISTI, Tex. - The Texas Tech men's tennis team finished 4th in a field of 16 teams at the HEB Invitational in Corpus Christi on Sunday. The team fell in the 3rd place match against the Cardinals of Louisville, 4-1.
To reach the match the Red Raiders (6-5) posted a pair of wins against East Tennessee State and Boise State on Friday. The team could not continue the streak Saturday against 22nd ranked Middle Tennessee.
Tech's lone win today came in the 3rd singles slot as senior co-captain Richard Crabtree (Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire, England) took the match 6-3, 6-0.
The Red Raiders will return home for three matches in four days, March 14-17. The team will host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on March 14th at 1 p.m. at the McLeod Tennis Center and UT-Arlington at 1 p.m. on Sat., March 16th. Tech will open its conference schedule at 1 p.m. on Sun., March 17th, hosting the Colorado Buffaloes
