New Mexico State Aggies Meet the Red Raiders

Lubbock, Texas - The Red Raiders of Texas Tech University host the New Mexico State University Aggies of Las Cruces, New Mexico on Saturday afternoon at the United Spirit Arena. This marks the eighth game of the 2002-2003 season for the Red Raiders (6 - 1) and the fifth home game at the United Spirit Arena. The Aggies bring a 7 - 1 record to the scheduled tip-off time of 1:15 p.m. The Texas Tech Television Network will televise the game with Mike Kleinstub calling the play-by-play and Michael Lewis serving as color analyst. Jack Dale, in his 50th year of broadcasting, will provide the play-by-play action as Tom Geyer sits along side as analyst.
Last season, the Raiders edged the Aggies 81 - 80 in overtime at the Pan American Center as Will Chavis dropped in one of his two free throws with three seconds remaining on the clock. The Aggies defeated UTEP by the score of 80 - 58 at the Pan American Center on December 18. Brandon Mason led both teams with 18 points. The Red Raiders downed the UNM Lobos 98 -71 on Wednesday night in their first of seven national ESPN appearances this season. Andre Emmett led all scorers with 31 points.
