Tech Falls To A&M

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis fell to 5th-ranked Texas A&M yesterday in College Station, Texas, 7-0. The Red Raiders dropped its third straight conference match making the overall record 6-12 and 1-4 in league play. The Aggies won its 12th-straight match improving to 18-2 overall and 5-0 in league play.
The Aggies won the first point of the day by taking two out of three in doubles. Tech snagged the No. 1 position with Richard Crabtree and Ben Gudzelak defeating Tres Davis and Keith From, 8-5. With the win the duo snapped a two-match losing streak and improved its record to 6-8 overall and 4-1 in the Big 12. The two have won four straight in conference play.
In singles action, the Red Raiders dropped all six matches in straight sets. In the No. 4 position John Walker retired with a right hand injury that has been bothering him over the past few weeks.
The men look to turn things around on Saturday, April 7 in Austin, Texas, against the University of Texas.
