WACO, Texas (AP) - Plenette Pierson had 20 points and nine rebounds to lead No. 11 Texas Tech to a 67-56 win over Baylor on Wednesday night.
Texas Tech (18-3, 9-1 Big 12) maintained its first-place standing in the conference by going on an 11-0 run early in first half to take a 25-14 lead. Jia Perkins keyed the run by making consecutive 3-pointers for her only points of the game.
Baylor (15-6, 4-6) never got any closer than seven points for the remainder of the game.
Tanisha Ellison had 11 points and six rebounds for the Lady Raiders.
Sheila Lambert scored 22 points and Monica Arnold had 12 and nine rebounds for Baylor.
