Men's Tennis Take First Loss on Road

Albuquerque, NM - The Texas Tech men's tennis team began their four-match road trip this weekend with their first lost of the season against the 43rd -ranked University of New Mexico today in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 5-2. The Red Raiders fall to 1-1 on the year while the Lobos improve to 4-1.
The two victories came in singles action. Ben Gudzelak improves his season record to 2-0 after defeating Michael Polasek in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. Earning the other victory for the Red Raiders was John Walker in the No. 6 position by beating John Kowalski, 7-6, 6-4. Walker's record improves to 2-0 on the year.
Tech looks to bounce back on Fri., Feb. 16, when they battle Cal Poly in San Diego, CA.
