
Texas Tech Women's Hoops Defeats Missouri, 82-64

LUBBOCK, Texas - Amber Tarr scored 16 points and was one of five Texas Tech players in double figures as the No. 13 Lady Raiders beat Missouri 82-64 in the Big 12 Conference opener for both teams Wednesday night.
Tanisha Ellison added 15 points and 11 rebounds for Texas Tech (10-2). Jia Perkins scored 14, and Plenette Pierson and Katrisa O'Neal each added 10.
Amanda Lassiter, Missouri's leading scorer, managed four points in the first half and finished with 21. Terrianne Wolford added 13 for the Tigers (9-3), and Marlena Williams had 12.
Texas Tech led 41-27 at halftime and built a 21-point lead, 60-39, with 11:39 remaining.
Lassiter scored eight points and Natalie Bright added five as Missouri closed with 10 points with three minutes remaining. But the Tigers were unable to get any closer.
