Tech Track Opens Indoor Season Saturday

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech track and field team opens its indoor season Saturday at the Oklahoma Track Classic in Norman, Okla.
The seven-school meet will be held at the Mosier Indoor Facility on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. Field events begin at 10 a.m., with the first event on the track set to start at 1 p.m.
Second-year Tech head coach Wes Kittley is taking 43 athletes to this weekend's meet, including 27 newcomers to the program.
Seniors Reggie Hill, Gezachw Yossef and Antonio Franklin lead the men, while seniors Ngozi Iwu and Tami Zachary and junior Monique Wright-Cruse head the women's list of participants.
The Red Raiders will take part in the Houston Invitational, January 26-27, before hosting the Texas Tech Open, February 2-3, at the ATC on the Tech campus.
