Men's Tennis Falls in River Oaks Invitational

Houston, Texas-Borut Martincevic and Royce Raney represented the Texas Tech men's tennis team this weekend at the River Oaks Invitational in Houston, Texas.
Martincevic lost in the first round to Texas' Ronald Kloppert in two-sets 7-5, 6-3. In the second round, Martincevic could not recover on the clay courts against Daniel Wajnberg of TCU. He fell in two-sets 6-1, 6-4.
Raney fell in the first round as well, but recovered in consolation to beat Baylor's Mark Williams in two-sets 6-3, 6-4. Raney lost in the next round to Texas' Craig Edmondson in a tough two-set match7-6, 6-1.
The tournament will conclude on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 10:00 a.m. with Daniel Wajnberg and Craig Edmondson competing for the title.
The Red Raiders swing back into action as a team on Friday, September 29 in Tulsa, Okla. at the Tulsa Invitational.
