Men's Tennis Remains Undefeated

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Red Raiders men's tennis team ran its record to 3-0 in spring competition with a 7-2 victory over the University of Texas-San Antonio Sunday in tennis action at Lubbock High School.
Ryan Shupe, Borut Martincevic, Jevgenij Cariov, Patricio Espinosa and Clay Estes all won their singles matches against UTSA and the team took two out of the three doubles matches to seal the victory.
Head coach Tim Siegel said he was pleased with his team's efforts and Sunday.
"This was a solid all-around performance," Siegel said. "UTSA has a good team and we came and took care of business. This will give us some momentum heading into this week when we play some crucial road matches against very tough opponents."
The men are in action this upcoming week when they travel to Arizona for matches against Arizona State in Tempe and the University of Arizona in Tucson. The Red Raiders are currently ranked No. 31 in the country while Arizona State is ranked 34th and Arizona is ranked 56th.
