Men's Hoops Downs Oral Roberts In OT

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Jamal Brown scored 19 points, including 15 in the final 15 minutes, to help Texas Tech rally for a 100-98 overtime victory over Oral Roberts on Thursday night.
After missing a last-second shot at the end of regulation, Brown sank two treys during the extra period. His first overtime 3-pointer tied the game 92-92. Andy Ellis' basket and another 3-pointer by Brown gave the Red Raiders a 97-92 lead with 2:05 remaining.
Chris Cameron made a trey and all three free throws after being fouled on a 3-point attempt, cutting Texas Tech's lead to 99-98. ORU had a chance to win it, but Evan Black missed a 3-pointer with four seconds left. Mikey Marshall's free throw with one-tenth of a second remaining provided the final margin.
Black had made a 3-pointer with 28.9 seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 87-87.
Cliff Owens had 22 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Ellis added 19 points for Texas Tech (5-4).
Marcus Shropshire scored 11 points to spark a 25-8 run that gave Texas Tech a 79-77 lead with 3:40 to play in regulation. The Red Raiders made 14 of their final 17 shots.
Josh Atkinson paced ORU (3-7) with a career-high 34 points.
