FORT WORTH, Texas - Sophomore forward Jenn Coulson scored with three minutes remaining in the first overtime period to give TCU the 2-1 win over Texas Tech on Friday.
Tech took the lead late in the first period with Carrie Graham's goal at 40:07. TCU didn't score until 75:47 when senior forward Charlia Owens tied the score with her goal from an Alecia Grieshaber assist.
Coulson scored in the 102nd minute on the only shot by either team. Coulson was assisted by sophomore forward Crystal Pratz and sophomore midfielder Ali Schloegel before going one-on-one with Tech goalkeeper Kelli McCallister.
TCU travels to College Station on Sunday to play ninth-rated Texas A&M at the Aggie Soccer Complex at 7 p.m. The men's and women's soccer teams travel to Shreveport, La., for a double-header against Centenary on Wednesday, Sept. 29, beginning at 1 p.m. The women return to the TCU Soccer Complex to open their WAC season against UTEP at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8.
