LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head basketball coach James Dickey announced today that former Amarillo High School star Josh Faltesek has joined the team and will begin workouts at this morning?s practice.
?We are excited about Josh becoming part of our program,? Dickey said. ?He is a freshman who will have a bright future. Being immediately eligible will give him an opportunity to become familiar with our system and give us much needed depth for the conference race. Josh has good size and strength and a nice shooting touch. We are pleased he has decided to be a Red Raider.?
Faltesek helped lead Amarillo High to a 26-7 record last season and averaged 18 points and eight rebounds per game. The 6-foot-8, 240-pound forward earned All-District and All-Region honors and was named District and Super Team MVP.
