Brandon Stevenson enters his first season as an assistant strength and conditioning coach on the Texas Tech staff, reuniting him with head strength and conditioning coach Lance Barilow.

Stevenson was previously a student assistant strength and conditioning coach during the 2022 football season, the Red Raiders’ first under head coach Joey McGuire and Barilow. Stevenson assisted with Texas Tech’s daily strength program that season, earning additional responsibility in leading training sessions for development groups and injured players. He previously was a student assistant with Texas Tech’s Olympic sport strength staff for three seasons before moving to football prior to his senior year.

Following graduation, Stevenson accepted the head strength and conditioning coaching position at Midland Christian High School. Stevenson spent the 2024-25 academic year at Lake County Christian School as an assistant strength and conditioning coach before rejoining the Red Raider football program for summer workouts.

Stevenson earned his bachelor’s degree in general studies with a concentration in kinesiology, nutrition and health from Texas Tech in December 2022. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS).

Stevenson and his wife, Jaylin, are parents to three daughters, Braylin, Brooklin and Brylie. He is the son of Scott and Dwenette Stevenson. His father is a longtime Texas Ranger that provides additional security on the Texas Tech sideline.
