Jalyn Turner is in his first season as a Texas Tech graduate assistant under head coach Grant McCasland.
A Houston, Texas native, Turner arrives in Lubbock after playing at the University of Central Oklahoma for the past five seasons. He established a new UCO record by playing in 146 games and helped the Bronchos win 94 games. UCO won the MIAA regular-season championship in 2021.
Turner played his high school basketball at Sunrise Christian Academy and helped the program to the Geico National. He earned his bachelor’s degree from UCO in general business and is currently pursuing his master’s degree from Texas Tech in sport management.
