Jackson Kimble

Jackson Kimble enters his third season as an offensive graduate assistant on the Texas Tech coaching staff where he assists with the offensive line.
The Red Raiders boasted one of the nation’s top offenses during each of Kimble’s first two seasons on staff, ranking in the top 10 for total offense and scoring both of those years. Texas Tech averaged 37.6 points per game – the fourth-highest clip in the country – while also averaging 452.7 total yards and 296.7 passing yards, which both finished ninth in the FBS. Texas Tech’s offense helped push the Red Raiders to an 8-5 record and an appearance in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.
Caleb Rogers earned honorable mention All-Big 12 accolades after starting at both guard and tackle throughout the 2024 season. He was later selected in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Las Vegas Raiders, marking the first time a Texas Tech offensive lineman had heard his name called in the first three rounds since Le’Raven Clark did so in 2016 by the Indianapolis Colts.
The Red Raiders followed by averaging 39.4 points per game during their memorable 2025 campaign, which propelled Texas Tech to its first Big 12 title in history and appearance in the College Football Playoff. Texas Tech used the same starting lineup up front en route to a school record 12 wins and 2,560 rushing yards, the most by the Red Raiders since joining the Big 12 Conference.
Four members of the offensive line earned All-Big 12 honors with Howard Sampson and Sheridan Wilson on the third team and Davion Carter and Jacob Ponton as honorable mention selections. Ponton was also recognized as a Freshman All-American by the Athletic following a successful debut at right tackle.
A former offensive lineman himself at Baylor, Kimble arrived at Texas Tech following one year in a similar capacity at Buffalo. Kimble helped mentor two All-MAC selections during his lone season as left tackle Gabe Wallace and right guard Tyler Doty were both recognized as third team selections by the conference coaches.
It marked the second coaching position of his young career as he was previously a student assistant coach at Baylor during the 2022 campaign. The Bears played in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl that season.
Kimble, a native of Southlake, Texas, struggled with injuries during his career at Baylor before medically retiring following the 2021 season. He was a six-time Commissioner’s Honor Roll honoree during his time at Baylor and was recognized on the Academic All-Big 12 first team during his final season.
Kimble is a two-time graduate of Baylor, earning his undergraduate diploma in business and corporate communications in 2021 and then his master’s in sport management in 2022.
Kimble is engaged to Maggie Morton.
