Tech climbs into top-20 of national polls

After being ranked No. 16 by TopDrawer Monday, the Red Raider checked in at No. 14 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll Tuesday
LUBBOCK, Texas โ Fresh off a perfect 2-0 week that featured a top-15 win over then No. 13 Colorado, Texas Tech climbed into the top-20 in both the TopDrawerSoccer Top-25 and the IWSOC Top-25.
The Red Raiders were ranked No. 16 in the TopDrawer Poll and No.14 in the IWSOC Coaches poll.
After starting the week with a 2-0 win over Cincinnati, Tech defeated then ranked No. 13/8 Colorado, 3-1 on Sunday to climb into the top-20 nationally for the first time this season.
The two wins over Cincy and Colorado helped Tech extend its overall unbeaten streak to 15-straight (8-0-7) and to 15-0-5 in their last 20 matches in Texas. Tech also won its 51st overall match and 30th Big 12 match. The 30 Big 12 wins lead the league while Tech's 51 total wins are fourth-most.
Tech climbed 11 spots after debuting in the IWSOC Top-25 a week ago at No. 25.
The Red Raiders return to action on Friday night (Oct. 2) against Arizona State. First touch is set for 7 p.m.
