Tech Cross Country announces 2026 schedule

The Red Raiders will get an early preview of the Big 12 Championship course in Stillwater
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech cross country program announced its 2026 slate featuring four regular season meets, including a home meet on September 18.
Tech will toe the line for the first time this season on Sept. 5 when the team hits the road to Stillwater, Okla., for the Cowboy Preview. The course will also host the 2026 Big 12 Cross Country Championships (Oct. 31). The Red Raiders come back to Lubbock to host the Texas Tech Open at the LCU Cross Country Course on Sept. 18.

Following a two-week break, Tech will make a trip to the Midwest in Terre Haute, Ind., for the Nike XC Town Twilight – host site of the NCAA Championships (Nov. 21) – before capping off the regular season at the annual Arturo Barrios Invite (Oct. 16) in College Station.
After the Big 12 conference meet, the Red Raiders will try to punch their tickets to the NCAA Championships at the NCAA Mountain Regional race in Albuquerque, N.M., on Nov. 13.
